What will it be like?
We know how intimidating it can be to walk into a building that you’ve never been to before. However, we guarantee that the first face you’ll see will have a smile on it. You’ll find a greeter nearby to help you get to where you need to go. We have a Discover Desk in the Sanctuary Foyer with helpful folks who can help you find your way.
What should I wear?
Lascassas Baptist Church is a relaxed atmosphere. You will find people dressed casually in blue jeans and dressed up in a sportscoat or a dress. It doesn’t matter to us which you wear.
What’s available for my preschooler, child, and/or student?
We know your children are important to you. And they’re important to us as well. That’s why we provide activities for all children ages birth-12th grade on Sunday and Wednesday. Click here to find out more about our Preschool, Children, and Student Ministries.
How do I get there?
We are located at 4750 East Jefferson Pike, Lascassas, TN 37085. Click here for directions. Parking is available on both sides and behind the sanctuary. We have designated parking spaces for Guests, Senior Adults, and handicapped vehicles.
What are you beliefs?
We are Baptist Church affiliated with the Concord Baptist Association of Rutherford County, The Tennessee Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. Our beliefs are summarized in the 2000 edition of The Baptist Faith and Message.
What is your mission and purposes?
Our Mission
Lascassas Baptist Church exists to love God, love people, and make disciples.
This mission is summarized in two key scriptures: The great commandment and the great commission
The Great Commandment: “Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart...soul...and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” Matt. 22:36-40
The Great Commission: “Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matt. 28:19-20
Our Purposes
This mission is accomplished through five purposes.
Loving God
Through WORSHIP - “Love God with all your heart”
Through DISCIPLESHIP - “Teach them to obey all things”
Loving Others
Through FELLOWSHIP - “Baptize them...”
Through MINISTRY - “Love your neighbor as yourself”
Making Disciples
By Missions - “Go...make disciples”
